Share to email

You can create an email message in the OS X Mail app and include your movie as an attachment.

Share a project via email

  1. In Motion, choose Share > Email.

  2. In the Options pane of the Share window, choose your preferred export settings:

    • Size: Choose an export size.

    • Compression: Choose a render quality. “Faster encode (single pass)” sacrifices quality for faster processing.

    • Duration: If you set In and Out points in the Timeline, choose whether to export the entire sequence or the portion between the In and Out points.

  3. To specify additional Motion-specific options, click Render.

  4. To see details about files to be output, including the attachment’s estimated file size, click Summary.

    Important: Many email services limit the file size for attachments. If the message exceeds the maximum size allowed by your email provider, the message size in the OS X Mail app appears in red, along with the allowed limit (if the Mail app can retrieve that information from the email provider).

  5. Click Compose Message.

    After rendering is complete, the Mail app opens and an email is created with the Subject field filled in and the movie attached.
