3D Text controls in the Appearance pane

When you select 2D text in your project, the 3D Text controls in the Appearance pane remain dimmed. To activate the 3D Text controls and convert selected text to extruded 3D text, click activation checkbox in the header row of this section. (When selected the activation checkbox turns blue.)
