Poke

Distorts an image by bowing the top, bottom, and sides inward, and appears to push the image into the Canvas at the specified Center point. As the value of the Amount parameter increases, the more the sides bow in. The Black Hole filter has a similar effect but also removes part of the image at the center point.

Adjust this filter using the parameter controls in the Filters Inspector:

  • Center: Sets the position of the center of the poke. You can also drag the Center onscreen control in the Canvas.

  • Radius: Sets the radius of the poke effect. The higher the value, the smaller the image appears. Scale must be set to greater than 0 for the Radius parameter to have an effect.

  • Scale: Sets the scale of the distortion.

  • Mix: Sets the percentage of the original image to be blended with the distorted image.

  • Publish OSC: Publishes the filter’s onscreen controls in Final Cut Pro X. For more information on creating content for use in Final Cut Pro, see Final Cut Pro templates overview.
