Gradient Blur

Creates a graduated blur between two points.

Adjust this filter using the parameter controls in the Filters Inspector:

  • Point 1: Sets the position of the start point of the gradient. You can also drag the Point 1 onscreen control (the lower-left point) in the Canvas.

  • Point 2: Sets the position of the end point of the gradient. You can also drag the Point 2 onscreen control (the upper-right point) in the Canvas.

  • Amount: Sets the radius of the blur.

  • Crop: Sets whether the filtered image is sharply cropped at its original boundaries. When this checkbox is deselected, the filter affects the edges of the image.

  • Mix: Sets the percentage of the original image to be blended with the blurred image.

  • Publish OSC: Publishes the filter’s onscreen controls in Final Cut Pro X. For more information on creating content for use in Final Cut Pro, see Final Cut Pro templates overview.
