Split objects in the Timeline track area

You can divide a single object into multiple objects, each in its own Timeline track. Splitting lets you turn one object into multiple pieces and then manipulate each segment of the object on its own track. For example, you can split an object into multiple tracks over time if want to apply an effect to the object over a specific, finite segment of time. Or you might split an object into multiple tracks to create the illusion that the object is moving in 3D space, passing in front of other objects. When working in 3D, you can even split camera tracks.
